I am asking for your help, I understand that you want your children to have phones and that they are for safety; but they are beginning to interfere in our daily classes. Students are not using them to help research; but to text their friends, update their Instagram, and snapchat. Today in Mass I had to confiscate a phone from a student who despite being asked to leave their phone behind, under lock and key, felt they didn't have to. I have since learned that a few other students have brought their phone to Mass despite being asked to have it remain behind. Please remind your child that they are not permitted to use social media during school time and that if their phone is a distraction to them, then it is best that they leave it at home.
