Welcome Back! The return to school has brought with it the cold weather, today was inclement recess all day, but students are strongly encouraged to dress for the weather, on days when we are outside it is cool to be warm, not an icicle!

Today we received the weekly writing topics for the rest of the school year. This week it is free choice. Students are encouraged to write about their Christmas or New Year's resolution if they are stumped for a topic. The girls are presenting on Friday while the boys must pass in a good copy.

We also started multiplication in math today, and the students were introduced to mad math...they have 5 minutes to complete  50 multiplication questions. Today the questions dealt with the 0-2 multiplication facts and as they progress the through the levels, a new level is added. Ask them about it; it is meant to help with quick recall of the basic facts, but it is fun and challenging!

Today was also the Feast Day of our Patron Saint. To celebrate we had a school mass and everyone received a bag of popcorn!
