Tomorrow is Remembrance Day :) poppies will be distributed to the students when they arrive to class.

There was a lot of confusion with mean, median and mode. Please do not worry, we looked at it again again, simpler questions were assigned, and hopefully, when we correct our math together tomorrow more will understand.

Mean = average: here you need to add up all of your data, then divide by the total number of data in the set.

Median = rewrite all of your data so it is smallest to largest, find the value in the middle, this is your median

Mode = this is the data value that occurs the most often. You may have more that 1 mode!

Range = This is where your data lie in relation to each other. You need to subtract here.
                LARGEST VALUE - SMALLEST VALUE


Please look over the math worksheet, but if you struggle, do not stress. We will continue working on this concept in class.

Language: We are completing an assignment in class for our novel that we just finished. This assignment is to be done entirely in class! Please ask your child about their maze or their folder, but I must insist that it is done in class with me. We will continue working on it until the due date of Monday, November 16th.
