Today we changed our seating plan...again! I'm notorious for switching seats and at least once a month the entire class gets a new arrangement. Changing seats gives the students an opportunity to work with other students.

I was quite disheartened when after I switched seats, some students made a big fuss about how they didn't want to sit besides a certain classmate. I understand that not everyone is going to be happy all the time, but regardless of how we feel personally, it is not okay to loudly vocalize mean spirited comments about others.

Please remind your child, if they are upset, that seating plans are only temporary, and we need to be respectful because one day we might be the person that no one wants to sit beside.
