Today we started talking about financial literacy, in particular INCOME! We looked at and discussed 'fictional'paystubs, salaries, and deductions. We walked through two job offers with the intent of determining the better job offer for a person and talked a little about our expectations for the future....As one would assume, quite a few of the students expect to walk out of your family home and into one that is comparable, with a comparable vechicle to drive. They were asked to think about what they would like to be when they grow up and tomorrow we will look at the education (including post secondary if applicable) that is required for their desired ENTRY level position (because nobody starts out at the top. As well, we are going to look at living expenses and work towards creating a budget.

(1) Outsiders journal is due on Friday
(2) Prequel or Sequel for the Outsiders is due on April 25th

Others:
(1) permission form and payment for thr grade 7 trip to the theatre
(2) Friday afternoon is movie day for the Intermediates for Share Life. ( $1.00 entry fee for those who did not donate $5.00 for all activities).
