Happy Friday! Today we had our NED presentation, where we learned how to never give up, encourage others, and to do our best in order to become champions at achieving our goals. It was definitely an interesting presentation.
We also discussed changes that happen to male and female bodies during puberty and took a deeper look at menstrual cycle. If you are able to, then this might be a good discussion topic to broach with your children over the weekend, as there was a lot of questions about these changes in class, and I could tell that quite a few of the students had lots of questions but were afraid to ask in the classroom environment. Next week we will be looking at sexual transmitted infections, so you might want to talk about this as well.
Math: please finish the worksheet on reflections if not done so already.
Enjoy your weekend,
Mrs. Asselin
P.S. a note was sent home outlining the grade 7 participation in the sharelife activities. The note is as follows:
Hello, we are currently in the season of Lent and our Principal, Mr. Young, has put forth a request for the school to support the Share Life charity. After much discussion, the grade 7’s have come up with a variety of ways to raise money for this good cause. Each activity is associated with a cost of fifty cents if you wish to participate; or it was suggested that a one-time donation of $5.00 be given to participate in all activities for the Lenten period. Our Share life activities begin on Monday, March 24th and will run until Thursday, April 17th.
Every Monday will be P.J day for a cost of fifty cents/day
Every Tuesday will be Crazy Hair/Hat day for a cost of fifty cents/day
Every Wednesday a Theme Day for a cost of fifty cents/day
In addition to these activities, our grade will have some more initiatives such as a movie, electronic afternoon, etc.; but these dates and activities will be shared once we agree upon them.
THE FIRST THEME DAY IS: Sports related, wear your favourite jersey!
