Hi, tonight is "Meet the Teacher Night" or as it is affectionally referred to by the older stdents, "Meet the Creature Night".

Tonight's meet and greet will begin at 5:30 with food being offered for sale in the gymnasium. Feel free to walk around the gym & outside to mingle with the other parents and circulating staff members. At 6:45, our principal, Mr. Young, will deliever his opening remarks and officially welcome everyone to the meet and greet. From 7pm to 8pm, the teachers will be available in their classrooms to share with you the curriculum and simply just to put a face to the names.

I cannot guarentee that you can talk to me before the 7pm classroom start time as I have to go home to check on my children and then I will be circulating around the school mingling with everyone ( and visiting the book fair too)but you are guarenteed to see me during the scheduled classroom visit time. Some of the children have already expressed a concern that they have a prior engagement for later in the night and that their parents cannot come, or cannot stay late.

If you cannot stay late, my classroom will remain unlocked and an informational brochure will be on top of your child's desk. Please take the brochure as it contains necessary passwords for your child that they will need in order to access certain online programs throughout the year. For parents who are unable to make it tonight at all, I will send home the brochure tomorrow with your child so you won't miss out on it.

HOMEWORK:
the zines and the weekly writing are due tomorrow. But my class is so awesome that quite a few of the students already submitted their work. I honestly believe that I have the best grade 7 class ever, and I look forward to meeting you tonight!
