WELCOME BACK!!!!! I am so excited to be your child's grade 7 teacher this year...and I remember lots of you from grade 4 :) We are going to have a great year together! This site will be updated daily with the homework, things that were done in class, and important dates so please check it daily! I included a list of supplies that you will need to make it through the better part of grade 7. I would appreciate it if you could get these supplies as soon as possible.

Supplies Needed:
1 binder (1 ½ inch to 2 inch) with dividers. This binder will hold the Language (reading comprehension & writing), Math, and Social Studies notes, so please label the dividers accordingly
4 duo-tangs (please label one for each of the following: Grammar, Science, Religion, Health)
Refill paper ( you will need to get through the year with the duo-tangs and the binder)
A calculator
Pens ( preferably blue or black )
Pencils
Pencil sharpener
Erasers
Glue
Pencil crayons
Fine tip markers for outlining and labeling
Protractor
Ruler
Sneakers with a non-marking sole (please respect the fact that you are asked to get sneakers that you can run in as opposed to other forms of footwear such as Uggs, or slippers, which although look nice and are very comfy, fail to offer the protection and durability needed for everyday use inside the school and the rigorous demands of our physical education classes).
Finally, I would ask that if you are able, would you mind sending in a box or two of Kleenex as we tend to go through these items very quickly throughout the school year.

I look forward to meeting all of you at "Meet the Teacher Night", the date of which will be sent home once school is officially back in session because as you might not have known, Seton, recently received a NEW PRINCIPAL!!!!! Mr. Young will be with us for this school year as Mrs. Jacobson was transferred to a school out in Oshawa. So once Mr. Young informs us of the date it will be shared with you :)

On the left side of this site is the Weekly Writing section that is updated weekly with the the topic. For this week, it doesn't matter, everyone is expected to write about their summer and/or their expectations for grade 7. Please have the good copy completed by Friday, and if it is not typed on the computer, please make sure that it is neatly handwritten as all written weekly writing assignments are placed on display.

Looking forward to a great year,
Mrs. Asselin
